Covered by Carl provides a free eligibility quiz to help you assess whether you may be eligible to connect with a single ASIC-licensed auto insurance specialist in Australia. We may use artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies to analyze quiz responses and assist in determining eligibility. We are not an insurer, insurance broker, advisor, or financial services provider. We do not provide insurance advice, recommendations, or guarantees of outcomes. Results depend on your individual circumstances.

3. Eligibility

To use this Service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Reside in Australia
• Provide truthful, complete information during the quiz
• Consent to have your information shared exclusively with one ASIC-licensed specialist

4. Consent to Contact

By submitting your information and verifying your identity via SMS, you:

• Consent to being contacted by one ASIC-licensed specialist only, via phone, SMS, or email, as outlined in our Privacy Policy
• Understand that no insurance advice or recommendations are offered by Covered by Carl
• May withdraw consent at any time by emailing [email protected] or replying “STOP” to SMS, per Privacy Policy

5. No Insurance Advice or Guarantee

The information presented on this website and in the quiz is for general informational purposes only. It is not insurance, financial, or legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. We do not guarantee:

• Actions, omissions, or advice provided by any third-party specialist you are connected with
• Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in quiz results or content, including any AI/ML-generated assessments

Our liability is limited to remedies available under applicable laws, such as ACL consumer guarantees.

7. Data & Privacy

We collect and process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which includes details on our use of AI/ML for eligibility assessment and service improvements. By using this Service, you agree to how we collect, use, and share your information, including sharing it exclusively with one ASIC-licensed specialist if you meet eligibility criteria and provide explicit consent. All data is securely stored and encrypted using AES-256 and TLS, per Privacy Act (APP 11) and PIPEDA (Principle 7). In case of a data breach, we will notify affected users and regulators (OAIC/OPC) within 72 hours if harm is likely.

10. Jurisdiction & Applicable Law

Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Montreal, Quebec.
